A praga dos pombos... / The plague of the pigeons

No, I'm not exagerating, they are a plague. I have my home for 13 years and plants on my balcony for 12 and I never had this problem before. There has always been pingeons in my area and people that find it pretty to give them bread crumbs, they get the cars dirty and have already eaten my blueberry tree, but it's been getting worse. Just has I was getting ready to assemble a table and some chairs to put on the balcony I find out 2 eggs in one of my vases. Ok, I didn't had the courage to throw them away, so I decided to wait until they were able to fly and got on with their lives. What a mistake!!! When they finally did fly away that corner was in such a state that I had to get rid of everything, I manage to save the plant because it was strong and old but everything else went to the trash, even my wooden floor that I had placed before, because of the faeces. I went to the store to get some repelent spary but nothing works, I've read about hanging something to make some noise, but my balcony is very long so if I did that nobody eles in my neighborhood would get any sleep. I'm at war with the pingeons, every time I hear them I run to the balcony to drive them away, I'm always cleaning their mess and yesterday I found 2 more eggs...it was hard for me but I had to throw them away...will I never get rid of them again? Any advice is welcome!!
