Era o meu pensamento hoje de manhã no carro, coloquei brilho nos lábios...como vou beber 2 litros de água sem deixar o gargalo da garrafa pegajoso???? E não me falem em palhinhas porque beber 2 litros por palhinha é castigo...

It was what I was thinking this morning as I drove to work, I have lip gloss on my lips....how am I going to drink 2 liters of water without leaving the bottle sticky???? And don't tell me about straws because drinking so much water trough a straw is punishment...

E como o tempo está para isso fui-me enfiar no centro comercial... E isso nunca acaba muito bem para as minhas finanças, mas em minha defesa, são coisas úteis que preciso. Ainda experimentei um sítio novo ao almoço :)

Compeled by the weather I went to a shopping mall .... And that never ends well for my finances, but on my behalf, I needed everything. And I got to try a new place for lunch :)

Já sabem que adoro relógios.. e andava há tempos há procura de um em dourado rosa que eu gostasse e que não fosse caro já agora. Já estava a desistir, mas ontem encontrei!!! Adoro-o!

You know I love watches... and I've been looking for a rosegold one that I liked and wasn't too expensive. I was almost giving up, but yesterday I found it!! Love it!

Objectivo cumprido!... / Goal reached!!!....

Consegui beber a água ontem, vamos ver se hoje consigo o mesmo, embora tenha os seus senãos: isto de ir à casa de banho tantas vezes torna-se embaraçoso... :)

I managed to drink all the water yesterday, let's see if I can make the same today, altought it has it's catchs: going to the bathroom so many times becames embarassing...... :)

O meu objectivo de hoje é beber 2 litros de água. E claro depois tentar que seja objectivo diário... Todos já ouvimos falar dos benefícios da água, mas nem sempre levamos isso em consideração, por isso...toca a beber água!

My goal today is to drink 2 lts of water. And of course try to make this a daily goal...Everybody already knows the benefits of water, but not always take it in consideration, sooo...let's have a drink of water!

Mas eu não sei, nem dei pelo verão e hoje de manhã parecia era que o inverno tinha começado.....

Eu gosto de fruta, mas aborrece-me trazer para o trabalho certos tipos porque pingam, ficamos com as mãos molhadas, a cheirar à casca o resto do dia, etc. A maior parte das vezes escolho banana...por razões óbvias. Mas como tenho de tornar a minha alimentação mais saudável e deixar de comer bolos a meio da manhã ou da tarde, tenho andado a tentar "contornar" esta situação. Primeira fruta contornada..a tangerina... gosto de tangerina mas descascar uma no escritório está fora de questão, então....descasco em casa e coloco num saquinho com fecho para trazer :) Assim posso comer sem ficar toda pegajosa a ter que correr para a casa de banho com as mãos a pingar. Aceitam-se mais sugestões para trazer as frutas ...

I like fruit, but it bothers me bringing some to work because some fruits drip, we get our hands dirty and smelling funny the rest of the day, etc. Most times I choose a banana...for obvious reasons. But I have to start eating healthier and stop eating cake in the middle of the morning or afternoon, so I've been trying to figure it out.First fruit addressed...the tangerine...I like it but peeling one in the office is out of the question, so...I peel it at home and put it in a ziplock bag to bring with me :) That way I can eat it without getting my hands sticky and running to the bathroom with dripping hands. I anyone has any other suggestions for fruit I appreciate it...

Pois é, realmente tinha ouvido que partilharam o albúm com biliões de pessoas em segundos mas pensei que as pessoas tivessem ido ao Itunes ou assim, mas nãooo. Vim ao meu telemóvel e os gajos plantaram o album deles na minha playlist...a sorte é que eu gosto pá senão era já uma queixa, andarem assim a infiltrar-se nos telelés do pessoal...

That's right, I've heard that they shared their album with billions of people in seconds but I thought that people just went on Itunes or something, but nooo. I came to my phone and those duds planted their album on my playlist....lucky for them that I like their music or I would file a complaint, going on people's phones like that...lol

Dar valor à pequenas coisas.... / To appreciate the little things...

Depois de uns dias intensos e a perda de mais um membro da familia, fui ter com uma amiga ao alentejo. Ela alugou uma casa lá fora da cidade e o simples facto de ter falhado a bomba da água nos fez reflectir sobre algo muito importante e que raramente nos passa pela cabeça. Dar as coisas como certas. Um problema na bomba da água fez com que ela tivesse que ir ao poço buscar garrafões de água, é um luxo abrir uma torneira e sair água. Contra mim falo, acho que por vezes nos esquecemos que há imensas pessoas no mundo que não se podem dar a esse luxo. Clicar num botão e ter luz, colocar a roupa numa máquina e carregar num botão. Temos a tendência de considerar isto como básicos na vida, já pensaram como somos sortudos?
Quando eu era pequena e ia para a casa dos meus avós paternos no interior, eles ainda não tinha canalizações por todo o lado e a casa de banho era no quintal, eu tomava banho num alguidar de barro como o da imagem abaixo mas muito maior, e com jarros de água aquecida, eu achava aquilo muito engraçado, mas já imaginaram ser a única forma de tomar um banho?
Temos que dar valor aos nossos pequenos "luxos".

After some intense days and the lost of another family member, I went to meet a friend in Alentejo. She rented a house in the country and a simple thing like the water pump failing made us think about something very important that rarely crosses our mind. Taking things for granted. A problem in the water pump made her go back and forward to the well to get some water bottles, it's a luxury to open up a fosset and having water flowing out of it. My mistake too because as so many people I often forget that there are people in the world that do not have that luxury. To click on a button and have light, to put the dirty clothes in the washer and press a button. We have the habbit of considering it as life basics, but have you thought how lucky we are?
When I was little and stayed at my grandparents in the country, they didn't have plumming all around the house and the bathroom was on the yard, I used to take my bath in a large clay bowl like the one in the picture below only much bigger, and my grandmother would bring jars of hot water, I thought it was all very funny, but have you thought having that as the only way to take a bath?
We have to appreciate our little "luxuries".
